Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and results-oriented Government GeM Business Development Executive to expand and manage our presence on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM). The ideal candidate will identify business opportunities, ensure compliance with GeM guidelines, and maximize our sales through government procurement channels.

Key Responsibilities

  1. GeM Portal Management:
    • Manage and update the company’s profile, product listings, and pricing on the GeM portal.
    • Ensure all products and services are listed in compliance with government standards and requirements.
  2. Business Development:
    • Identify and analyze tenders/RFQs on GeM relevant to the company’s offerings.
    • Prepare and submit bids and proposals on time, ensuring competitive pricing and adherence to specifications.
    • Build relationships with government departments, PSUs, and other agencies to drive sales.
  3. Strategic Planning:
    • Develop strategies to increase sales through the GeM platform and improve market share.
    • Identify emerging opportunities and trends in government procurement.
  4. Compliance and Documentation:
    • Ensure compliance with all GeM regulations, policies, and procurement rules.
    • Maintain accurate records of tenders, bids, and contracts for internal and audit purposes.
  5. Reporting and Analysis:
    • Monitor the performance of the company on GeM and prepare regular reports on sales, revenue, and opportunities.
    • Provide feedback to management on areas of improvement and market insights.
  6. Collaboration:
    • Work closely with internal teams such as sales, finance, and operations to ensure seamless execution of GeM orders.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or tendering, preferably in the government sector or e-procurement platforms like GeM.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in using the GeM portal and understanding government procurement processes.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
    • Strong analytical skills to evaluate tenders and bids effectively.
    • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
